Baz Brothers is holding auditions for their upcoming feature film “Making Moves”. Making Moves that risks everything over comfort and stability.

About The Film

The film follows Que, a military veteran, was raised in the mean streets of New York. He has a job that provides him with financial security and is in a loving relationship with Angela, his girlfriend of 3 years. It appears the couple is headed for marital bliss until Que announces that he has decided to give up everything and follow his dreams. Unable to see the vision, Angela gives him an ultimatum that severs their beautiful union. So with his belongings in tow, Que leaves his girl, a lucrative career, his family and friends and moves to another state to pursue his dream. Que quickly finds out that following his dreams isn’t easy and the outcome isn’t immediate.After several failed attempts, Que is approached by an old friend with an opportunity that has the potential to turn his life around. Can Que stay strong in pursuit of his dream or has this new opportunity caused too much of a risk and deferred his dreams for good?

QUENDAL BAXTER (Known as Q)– African American Male, Age 25-28, Ex-army sergeant, a risk taker, very intelligent, lovable, caring, street and book smart, has a good sense of humor, and loves to perform. Q is thugged out to a certain point but doesn’t show it. New York accent.

ANGELA– African American Female, Age 22-26 Q’s girlfriend for 3 years, very attractive, very demanding, argumentative, loving, caring, at times is selfish and really wants to start a family with Q. New York accent.

Supporting Roles

ERICK– African American Male, Age 20-26 Q’s younger brother, looks up to Q, a good listener, gives good advice, lazy, a jokester, a momma’s boy, and feels like his way out of the hood is through his brother’s success. New York accent.

YOUNG BLOOD– African American Male, Age 25-28 A hoodlum, a drug dealer who has plans to take over the streets, doesn’t care too much about people, very flashy, and a thug at heart. He is always thinking of ways to make easy money. New York accent.

CHARLES– African American Male, Age 22-26 Q and Erick’s close friend, is easy going, laid back, a hard worker and loves to laugh. New York accent.

SHAUNTAY– Female (Any Race), Age 22-26 Angela’s co-worker, a gossip queen but she keeps it real. She’s a loyal friend. New York accent.

KIERRA– Female (Any Race), 22-26 Angela’s co-worker, very attractive, loud, gossips a lot and talks a lot of nonsense. She’s the type who will date one of her friend’s boyfriends. She is very outspoken and loud. New York accent.

HOWARD– African American Male, Age 21-24 A trouble maker. He’s trigger happy, a thug, and a follower who talks a lot. He is a drug dealer for Young Blood. New York accent.

ANDY– African American Male, Age 25-28 Laid back, very observant, loves to play video games, he can be easily influenced. He grew up with Q and Young Blood and is a drug dealer for Young Blood. New York accent.

How To Apply

Open call auditions are being held. If you fit the requirements of any of the roles and are interested in being considered you may attend. Auditions Will Be Cold Reads.
