About the Movie
The film is based on the biography “J.D. Salinger: A Life” written by Kenneth Slawenski. Deadline reports “the story follows Salinger as he prepares to write his classic novel “Catcher in the Rye.” Spacey will play Whit Burnett, a professor at Columbia and editor of Story Magazine. He became a mentor and was the first to challenge the young Salinger, inspiring him to grow as a storyteller.” The film also stars Nicholas Hoult.

Requirements for Application
Seeking SAG-AFTRA and NON UNION Caucasian Men ages 18-26 to portray WW2 Soldiers for the new film starring Nicholas Hoult and Kevin Spacey, REBEL IN THE RYE. Tentative shoot dates are 5/11-5/13 in NYC.
Candidates must be comfortable receiving a 1940s military hair cut from our hair dept if needed. Must be clean shaven on the day of work. Must be comfortable working around smoke. No wool allergies. Must have full day availability for shoot dates. Must be from the tri-state area.
