Casting Call for Men & Women for NBC Movie in Atlanta
The upcoming movie Coat of Many Colors: Circle of Love, about legendary singer Dolly Parton, is now filming. Casting directors are looking to fill several roles for the NBC made for TV movie. They are looking for people to play Townsfolk, Church folk, Miner Folks and Medics. The series is filming in Atlanta, Georgia on July 15th, July 26th and July 27th.
About the Movie
“Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love” is the next chapter in the life of young Dolly Parton. The film will deliver Christmas joy and peril as an unexpected blizzard threatens the Parton family, while at the same time Dolly’s father (and his kids) make sacrifices to raise enough money to finally buy his loving wife the wedding ring he could never afford to give her. Meanwhile, an important person in little Dolly’s life begins to see that her amazing voice and musical gift might just be made for something bigger than rural Tennessee. Jennifer Nettles, Ricky Schroder, Gerald McRaney and Alyvia Alyn Lind will reprise their roles from “Coat of Many Colors.” [Variety]

Seeking some rural-townfolk-looking people. Character faces and plain face are both great. All ages 18+ should apply. Must be able to recreate a 1950’s look. Hair must be natural colors and conservative. Ladies should be prepared to use curlers. If you can submit in 1950’s type clothing and hairdo’s, that will be a HUGE benefit for you!

Yes, we spelled that correctly! We are seeking fit males over the age of 18 to portray coal miners. Gold-diggers. 49ers. Prospector-types. No actual experience is necessary, but if you happen to have mining experience, you should include it in your submission. And feel free to dress the part, and submit those photos…and people say, “there are no miner roles in film/stage…”
