African American Kids for Taraji P. Henson Film “Hidden Figures”

Casting directors are looking for African American kids between the ages of six and eight years old for the upcoming film “Hidden Figures”.

About the Film

The film that is an adaptation of a book of the same name, is about an unsung group of African American female math wizards who helped NASA win the space race. According to Margo Lee Shetterly (the writer of the book) the story is about mathematical ground troops in the Cold War—helped provide NASA with the raw computing power it needed to dominate the heavens. The book recovers the history of these pioneering women and situates it in the intersection of the defining movements of the American century: the Cold War, the Space Race, the Civil Rights movement and the quest for gender equality. The film also stars Octavia Spencer and Kirsten Dunst.
