Casting Call for Extras 18+ in Memphis, TN for CMT Series
The upcoming series that will air on CMT called “Million Dollar Quartet” is looking for some background extras to work on the show. On Location Casting is looking for men and women to shoot this Thursday, May 5th in Memphis, Tennessee.
About “Million Dollar Quartet”
CMT and Thinkfactory Media are turning the Tony Award-winning musical into an eight-episode scripted drama. It is set to premiere later this year to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the Million Dollar Quartet recording sessions with rock n roll’s most iconic singers that include Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins.
CMT Describes the drama as being “Set in Memphis during the tumultuous early days of the civil rights movement, Million Dollar Quartet (working title) tells the untold true story of the birth of rock ‘n’ roll. Guided by Sam Phillips, young musicians like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins combined the styles of hillbilly country with the 1950s R&B sound and changed the course of music forever. The series chronicles these young artists’ often jarring and sudden meteoric rise to fame in the face of sweeping political change and social unrest”.

Roles & Requirements
BUSBOYs: male, African-American, age range 18-21, thin to average sizes only due to smaller period costume size restrictions, clean-cut (NO facial hair-small mustache may be acceptable), NO visible tattoos (especially on arms or neck/chest) or piercings!
CAR HOPS: female, Caucasian, age range 20-26, thin to average sizes only due to smaller period costume size restrictions, NO visible tattoos (especially on arms or neck/chest) or piercings! LADIES – Natural colored hair ONLY and short to shoulder length hair or willing to let us give you a 1950s period style hair cut. NO weaves! Short fingernails only – no acrylics or obviously fake nails.
CONCESSION MANAGER; male, Caucasian, age range 30-40
MEN – average sizes only due to period costume size restrictions. Short hair or willing to let us give you a short 1950s period style hair cut.
TEENAGERS: male & female, Caucasian, age 18- to look younger.
MUST ACTUALLY BE 18 and look like a teenager.

Instructions for Submission
The casting team does not have call times so you would need to be fully 100% available on work dates. You MUST have open/flexible availability if submitting so that you can work WHATEVER the call times & wrap times end up being. If not, please DO NOT SUBMIT!
Pay rate for EXTRAS is $64.00 for 8 hours ($8.00/hour with a 8 hour guarantee). Overtime will be paid after 8 hours. You will receive a check in the mail usually 10-14 business days AFTER you work.
They will not be providing mileage/gas reimbursement or accommodations to anyone working as background talent on this project. You are responsible for your own transportation and local accommodations.
