Casting Call for Men & Women for HBO Series in NYC
Can you pull off the look of the 70’s? If so, the new HBO series starring James Franco “The Deuce” needs you to work on the show! Casting directors are now seeking men and women who are ages 18 and up to play 1971 seedy, homeless, drunk and junkie types. They are open to people of all ethnicities who are non-union. The show films in New York City so the team is seeking actors who are local to the tri state area.
About the Show
The Deuce follows the story of the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York’s Times Square from the early 1970s through the mid-1980s, exploring the rough-and-tumble world that existed there until the rise of HIV, the violence of the cocaine epidemic and the renewed real estate market all ended the bawdy turbulence. *Men should have some length to their hair! No very modern haircuts, buzzcuts, fades, etc.*Women: should have hair appropriate for 1971- no braids, dreadlocks, modern cuts, unnatural hair colors, etc.
No visible tattoos. Must be comfortable working around atmospheric smoke.
