There is a 2017 model and actor casting call for extras! It is for the new movie turned TV series “Step Up: High Water”! The series will head to Youtube’s new platform Red. Casting directors are looking for Caucasian males and females for a Ohio High School dance scene. Although this is to play high school students, the team is in need of men and women ages 18 and older but who look younger.
The series is filming in the popular shoot location of Atlanta, Georgia. Filming will take place on August 17th, 2017. Extras will be portraying Ohio dance student types, dance teachers and parents. Exact filming times are unknown but as of now it will start at 7am. Because the start and wrap times are still being determined, you must be prepared for a 12 hour day. According to Deadline, “Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum, who co-starred in the original Step Up film, will executive produce the series adaptation along with the movies’ producers Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot and Meredith Milton. The Step Up series is described as a heart-pounding, sexy, music-filled drama about dancers in a contemporary performing arts school”.
