Casting directors are casting for a student film about World War One.

About the movie:

This movie is about a soldier who is honorably discharged after serving in WWI.  He is granted US citizenship but has it revoked because the government claims he is not a “free white man.”  The main character takes his case to the Supreme Court.  He wants to fight for his rights, disgusted of how he is being treated after serving his country in such a horrible war.

What casting directors are looking for:

We are in search of actors for lead roles and supporting roles.  Actors must be able to play serious roles in an emotional story.  World War One was a very emotional and tough era, so we are looking for actors to portray the grit from that time period.

Roles:

Lead 1: Caucasian Male, age 30 – 49.  This character is Irish and he immigrated to Boston.  He goes to Law School in Pennsylvania.  He was very energetic, friendly, smart, and aware before the war.  After the war, he becomes jaded about law in America.  He was drafted into WW1 and he saw some of his best friends die, so he is plagued with PTSD from what he witnessed.  Throughout the film, he transforms, from a youthful and hopeful student to a jaded war veteran looking for comfort.

Lead 2: Caucasian Male, age 30 – 49.  This character is originally from England, but he immigrated to the US right before the war broke out.  His main goal is to become an officer of the law and keep things maintained and in order on the home front during the war.

Supporting 1: Caucasian Male, age 29 – 39. This supporting character will play the role of a police officer.  It is a speaking role.
