Casting Call for Real DJs for TV Show in New Orleans

Do you spin the turntables? If so, casting directors need you for the new Oprah Winfrey series “Queen Sugar”. The casting team is seeking African American men who are real DJ’s to appear on the show. DJ’s will be needed to film on Friday, June 24th in La Place, Louisiana. This is a paying role, the pay rate is $125.00.

About the Show

“Queen Sugar” follows a spirited woman and her teenage daughter as they leave behind their upscale L.A. lifestyle for their Southern roots by way of an 800-acre Louisiana sugar cane farm she inherited from her recently departed father. Rutina Wesley will star as Nova Bordelon, a formidable journalist and activist based in New Orleans. Her life, along with that of her brother and extended family, undergoes significant change when her sister, Charley, returns to Louisiana. [Variety]  The series is being executive produced by Oprah Winfrey and Ana DuVernay.

Roles & Requirements

The new television series Queen Sugar is now casting an African American male who is a real Disc Jockey. They are seeking men who are local to Louisiana for the upcoming shoot. The selected DJ will be paid $125.00. DJ’s must be available the entire day and night of the 24th as filming could very well go into the night or be an overnight shoot. The exact call time is still being determined
