Casting Call for Men Ages 18+ in New York City

James Franco’s new television show “The Deuce” is seeking male background actors to play homeless men. They are looking for men who are over the age of 18 that can pull off the 1970’s look for the show.

About the Show

The show follows the story of the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York’s Times Square from the early ’70s through the mid ’80s, exploring the rough-and-tumble world that existed there until the rise of HIV, the violence of the cocaine epidemic and the renewed real estate market ended the bawdy turbulence of the area. The series is partly inspired by the career of twin brothers, Vincent Martino and Frankie Martino. [Variety]

Roles & Requirements

Grant Wilfley Casting is now accepting submissions from men over the age of 18 to play 1970 homeless on the HBO series “The Deuce”. A fitting will take place on Thursday, June 23rd. The show will be filming in Brooklyn on Friday, June 24th. Men should have hair at least 1.5 inches in length. No shaved heads, buzz cuts, shaved sides, dreadlocks, super modern styles. No visible tattoos.

Non-Union Men

Ages 18+

Available to work Friday 6/24 exterior night shoot!

Actors must be able to provide their own 70s-type homeless look! (worn, dirty clothes, layers, nothing too modern looking, etc).

Everyone must be 18 or older to work and located in the tri-state area. Everyone must have two valid forms of US-issued ID to work!
