Have you always wanted to work with Oprah Winfrey? A new opportunity to work on her TV show “Greenleaf” is here! An actor casting call is searching for an African American male who is in his late 30’s to 40’s who can play poker! They are looking for guys who can shuffle them up and double them down! The new series that airs on Oprah’s network OWN, is a mega church drama series. Filming is in Atlanta, Georgia so local males are needed. The ensemble cast also includes Merle Dandridge, Keith David, Lynn Whitfield and Laman Rucker. This is an audition notice for a featured extra role on the television series. The shoot is set for Tuesday, January 17th, 2017 so applicants must be available on this day to be considered.
About the Show
“Greenleaf” centers on the journey of estranged daughter and disillusioned preacher Grace Greenleaf (Merle Dandridge, “The Night Shift”) who has returned home after 20 years on the occasion of the mysterious death of her sister, Faith. As she reenters the world of Calvary Fellowship World Ministries, the Memphis megachurch run by her powerful parents Bishop James Greenleaf (Keith David, “Enlisted” and “Community”) and Lady Mae Greenleaf (Lynn Whitfield, “The Josephine Baker Story”), it becomes evident that things are not as virtuous as they seem and that the family’s outward display of faith hides sin and misdeeds. The call time for this shoot is 8am and we ask that you be prepared for a 12hr day work so please have open availability for this day!
The rate for extras on this production is $150/12hr, which you will receive in the form of a check in the mail.
