AWE Jewelry Collection Photo and Video Shoot

Casting Call for Real Life Survivors in New York City

This is a wonderful casting call for survivors. They are not looking for models and actors for this but people with real life experiences. The casting and shoot location will be taking place in New York City. The casting date will be held March 28th- March 30th.

About The Shoot

The AWE collection features high-end jewelry anchored by the AWE Link, which symbolically links each survivor to the AWE community. The Link’s four teardrops represent the blood, sweat, and tears (of sorrow and joy) that define each survivor’s journey. AWE= Alive We’re Empowered. This celebrates the resilience of those who have survived life-altering adversities by connecting them over both their shared experiences and AWE’s meaningful products.

  1. My story is kinda long and complicated, but the short version is, I always had a few weird medical issues that went unexplained for decades. When I became pregnant with my now 11 year old daughter it became very clear there was something not right. After a extremely rough pregnancy where I almost lost her and she literally ate me alive my symptoms continued to worsen then to my horror my daughter began displaying similar symptoms around age 2. Doctors after my mysterious episode of paralysis then decided our condition was genetic and hence didn’t need to be named because most weren’t treatable. As a mother I couldn’t except this so I went back to school to figure it out. With the help of professors we diagnosed both of us and I am now responsible for figuring out our treatment since our condition has no doctors we have found with knowledge of it. We both now have learned to manage it and walk out daily tightrope in life, but are surprising normal appearing and most would never guess the struggles we went through. It is funny how some fates we accept when it is ours but can not when your child is thought to have the same fate. My daughter Madison is my miracle and motivation for everything. My goal is to make her life as amazing as possible because she is most definitely with it!!
