The doctors told us we had to go to California to a man named Dr. Gary Steinberg. We started making our way from West Virginia to California, stopping in Connecticut to see my mom’s dad, and in Idaho to see my mom’s sister. Around 2 months ago we arrived in California and my mom was admitted into the Stanford hospital to undergo double brain surgery. The surgery was successful and my mom is now in rehab. It has been a scary time for all of us.
